Global Investigasi News.com – The People’s Representative Council (DPR) officially appointed Komjen Listyo Sigit Prabowo as the elected National Police Chief to replace General Idham Azis.
This was carried out in a plenary session chaired by DPR Speaker Puan Maharani accompanied by DPR Deputy Speaker Azis Syamsudin, DPR Deputy Chair Rachmat Gobel, DPR Deputy Speaker Sufmi Dasco and DPR Deputy Speaker Muhaimin Iskandar.
Initially, the ratification began with a report by Commission III regarding the results of Listyo Sigit’s fit and proper test. Where was read the Deputy Chairman of Commission III Ahmad Sahroni.
After that Sahroni also read out the respectful discharge of General Idham Azis as the National Police Chief and the approval of the appointment of Komjen Listyo as the National Police Chief.
After that, the Chairman of the DPR, Puan Maharani, also asked the members of the council who attended whether Listyo Sigit could be approved for his fit and proper results. Then appointed as a substitute for Idham Azis.
“The council meeting, which we respect now, let us ask the honorable council session whether the report of Commission III DPR RI on the results of the due diligence on the candidate for Chief of Police can be approved?” said Puan, Thursday (21/1/2021)
“Agreed,” replied the DPR member.
That way, Listyo’s ratification as the new National Police Chief to replace General Idham Azis has been approved by the DPR. Currently, it is just waiting to be sworn in by President Joko Widodo or Jokowi.
