President Joko Widodo and Mrs. Iriana Joko Widodo started the second day of a series of working visits to the Province of West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) by observing the activities of traders at the Sila Market, Bima Regency, on Thursday, December 29 2022. Arriving at around 08.20 WITA, the President and Mrs. Iriana immediately greeted the traders and the people who were there.
Apart from greeting, the President and Mrs. Iriana also handed over working capital assistance (BMK) to street vendors (PKL) and direct cash assistance (BTL) to Pasar Sila traders. One of the market traders, Nurinayah conveyed President Jokowi’s message to him to use the assistance as additional business capital.
“(President) said, use Rp. 1,200,000 as best as possible for additional business capital,” he said.
Nurinayah also admitted that she was happy and expressed her gratitude for the venture capital assistance that had been provided by the government. He also expressed his gratitude for the presence of President Jokowi and Mrs. Iriana in his hometown.
“Thank you Mr. Jokowi for giving this (assistance) and for wanting to come to our village to Bima. I hope Pak Jokowi is always healthy and with his family,” continued Nurinayah.
Likewise, a resident of Bima who had the opportunity to take a selfie with the President, Lisa also expressed her pleasure in meeting the President. Lisa also expressed her hope for Bima’s progress.
“Thank you Pak Jokowi, thank you for coming to Bima. Hopefully it will be better for the people of Bima and the environment,” said Lisa.
Meanwhile, another Bima resident who attended the Sila Market, Leni hopes that the President can return to visit Bima. In addition, Leni also hopes that the government can pay attention to agricultural problems in Bima.
“The hope as a Bima people is that Bima can be seen by Pak Jokowi. The people of Bima need a corn problem, increase the price of corn. Farmers’ prices must be increased,” he said.
Accompanying the President and Mrs. Iriana at Pasar Sila were Minister of State Secretary Pratikno, Minister of Public Works and Public Housing Basuki Hadimuljono, NTB Governor Zulkieflimansyah, and Bima Indah Regent Dhamayanti Putri.
