Minister for National Development Planning (PPN)/Head of Bappenas Suharso Monoarfa in his statement after the meeting said that currently the progress of housing construction for ASN, TNI and Polri at IKN has reached 26 percent. This development has progressed after last February it was still at 15 percent.

“Hopefully there will be acceleration,” said Suharso.

Suharso also said that around 16,990 people consisting of ASN, TNI and Polri would move to IKN. This amount has been adjusted to the planning and building and layout plans (RBTL) that have been prepared.

“With the RBTL it will make development easier. So the land development already exists and later there will be published guidelines for detailed plans that are under the authority of the Authority,” said Suharso.

On this occasion, President Jokowi also decided that the residential model for ASN, TNI and Polri would not only be in the form of vertical houses or apartments but also landed houses. In addition, the house can also become the property of ASN, TNI and Polri.

“Only 70 percent of the position will remain state property and 30 percent will be offered to ASN and TNI-Polri,” said Suharso.

On the same occasion, Deputy Head of the IKN Authority Dhony Rahajoe said that the policy was taken by the government in accordance with Presidential Decree Number 63 of 2022 concerning Details of the Archipelago Capital City Master Plan. In addition, the Government Central Core Area (KIPP) in IKN is also not designed for retirees to live in.

“The new ASNs don’t live far away. So they will always be close to the place of work,” said Dhony.

Dhony also said that the government would immediately prepare infrastructure and supporting facilities for residents who will live in IKN, from schools to hospitals. As for financing, the government will also open cooperation between the government and business entities (PPP) apart from pure investment.

“This PPP is of interest not only from local investors but also investors from abroad,” said Dhony.
