The President’s sacrificial animal that was handed over at the Istiqlal Mosque is a limousine cross cow. This cow comes from Pancoran, Jakarta and weighs 1,199 kilograms. In addition to the Istiqlal Mosque, the President also offered sacrifices in many places.

“A total of 35 cows are prepared, each province (gets) one and there is one for the Istiqlal (Masjid),” said Head of the Presidential Secretariat Heru Budi Hartono in Jakarta, Thursday, July 15 2021.

The President’s sacrificial cow has been examined by a veterinarian and obtained an animal health certificate stating that the cow is healthy and does not show any strategic infectious animal disease (PHMS).

“All have been sterilized by the regional Livestock Service,” said Heru.

“The Presidential Secretariat is cooperating with the Ministry of Agriculture to (provide) the cows and under the control of the local veterinarian,” he said.

Eid al-Adha 1442 Hijriah falls on Tuesday, July 20, 2021. President Joko Widodo himself is scheduled to carry out the Eid prayer at the Bogor Presidential Palace, West Java.
