“From the efforts to improve the health and education aspects that have been carried out, thank God our Human Capital Index has also increased quite well from 0.52 in 2017 to 0.54 in 2020. We will continue to improve this,” said the President.

In the health sector, the President said that the government had succeeded in managing the Covid-19 problem in the country. As of January 2022, confirmed cases of Covid-19 have experienced a significant decline from the peak of cases in July 2021.

“As of January 9, 2022, there were 529 confirmed cases, down 99 percent from the peak last July. We should be grateful for this,” he continued.

Meanwhile, in the field of education, the President expressed the seriousness of the government in handling education in Indonesia in order to produce superior human resources. The government guarantees access to education for the underprivileged, from basic education to higher education.

“In 2021, the Smart Indonesia Card with a budget of Rp. 11 trillion for 21 million students throughout the country. KIP Lectures, whose budget is Rp. 9.4 trillion, have also been given to 1.1 million students throughout the country in 2021,” he added.

In addition to formal education, the President reminded the importance of strengthening Pancasila education which continues to be grounded by the Ideology and Pancasila Development Agency (BPIP). The President believes that these values ​​strengthen the character of the Indonesian nationality, even though it is faced with high globalization.

“We continue to strengthen the noble values ​​inherited by Bung Karno and the other founding fathers of the nation. We must continue to maintain the noble values ​​of Pancasila, as a guide for our future generations,” he added.

Then, regarding village funds, the President said that the allocation of village funds continues to increase every year. The village fund, the President continued, is used to build village infrastructure such as roads, reservoirs, irrigation, markets, and other infrastructure.

“We also build village roads, build dams, build village clean water, build posyandu in villages, build wells needed in villages, build drainage in villages because this is the infrastructure that our villages need,” he said.

Lastly, the President emphasized that the government is committed to building the nation’s independence in the international community by conducting downstreaming and industrialization through cessation of exports of raw materials to foreign countries.

“Now that we are exporting semi-finished and finished goods, our exports have reached USD 21 billion, or approximately Rp. 280 trillion. This is a very big leap that we want to make for the mineral materials we have, be it nickel, bauxite, copper, tin, or gold, and others,” said the President.
