The President explained that Indonesia’s first strategy was to downstream and industrialize Indonesia’s raw materials. In fact, President Jokowi invited the Australian Prime Minister who was also present at the event to cooperate with Indonesia in downstreaming.

“I only offered Mr Prime Minister Anthony Albanese in Australia there is lithium, we have nickel, if we combine it it becomes an electric car battery. But I ask Prime Minister Albanese for the lithium to be brought to Indonesia. Indonesia,” said the President.

The second strategy is a green economy. The President said that the potential for new and renewable energy in Indonesia is very large so that investors have many opportunities to collaborate with Indonesia in order to build a green economy in the country.

“We have prepared in North Kalimantan 30 thousand hectares of land for a green industrial park which I am sure will attract investors to come to build green products from Indonesia,” said the President.

Finally, the President explained that Indonesia’s strategy is digitalization. According to the President, business actors must help each other in improving the quality and sales results. Currently, 19 million small and micro businesses have entered a number of digital platforms to market their business products.

“Our target later in 2024, we hope to have reached more than 30 million. This means that the small ones should not be left behind,” said the President.

On that occasion, the President also symbolically accepted the Final Communique B20 Summit from the Chairman of KADIN Arsjad Rasjid. The President also congratulated India for holding the B20 presidency in 2023.

“I entrust it to India so that in the future small businesses and micro businesses will also be carried forward. Finally, I wish you good luck for the B20 India presidency next year. I am optimistic that B20 will be more solid and continue to grow,” said the President. .

Also attending the event were Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, DPR Speaker Puan Maharani, Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto, Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi, BUMN Minister Erick Thohir, Investment Minister Bahlil Lahadalia, KADIN Chair Arsjad Rasjid, and B20 Indonesia Chairperson Shinta Kamdani.
