Pinned the Kopassus Red Beret, National Police Chief: Don’t Doubt the Synergy of the TNI-Polri Protect the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia
GIN JATIM Jakarta – National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo and TNI Commander Admiral Yudo Margono were pinned on the Red Berets and Command Brevets from the elite Kopassus troops. In this regard, Sigit emphasized that the awarding of the Red Beret and Kopassus Command Brevet was an extraordinary pride and honor, both institutionally as the National Police and personally as the National Police Chief. “This is a very extraordinary award. Because we know that Kopassus is an elite troop, a respected Red Beret troop. Not only domestically, but also in assignments abroad. Therefore, of course, appreciation and pride for me as the National Police Chief as well as appreciation and pride for all members of the National Police,” said Sigit at the Cijantung Kopassus Headquarters, East Jakarta, Tuesday (27/12/2022). Sigit said that this embedding would further increase the synergy and solidity between the TNI and Polri, which so far have been very strong and good in protecting the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI). “And of course this will strengthen and increase the solidity and synergy between the TNI and Polri,” said Sigit. On this occasion, Sigit also revealed that he was brought up in a family with a TNI background. Because of that, Sigit said, the blood of the TNI flows in his body. “So colleagues need to know my grandfather, formerly TKR and then the Army (AD). My father, the Air Force (AU). I became a police officer and currently the Chief of the National Police. But TNI blood flows in my blood,” said Sigit was greeted with shouts of Command from Kopassus soldiers. Therefore, Sigit emphasized, there is no need to doubt the commitment to the synergy and solidity of the TNI-Polri in maintaining the safety of the state, nation and people of Indonesia from all forms of disturbing threats. “So talking about synergy and solidity, of course there is no need to doubt it. And we TNI-Polri are ready to guard and protect the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia, guard against the enemies of the state, safeguard state sovereignty, state security to realize national goals can really be achieved,” stressed Sigit. Deeper, Sigit ensured, that in the future the TNI-Polri will always be an inseparable unit in carrying out their duties of maintaining security, order and maintaining the unity and integrity of the Indonesian Nation. “Therefore, who is an enemy of the TNI, is an enemy of the Police, who is a friend of the TNI is a friend of the Police, and the TNI-Polri are ready to guard and secure the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia,” said Sigit. Meanwhile, TNI Commander Admiral Yudo Margono also appreciated the embedding of the Red Berets and Command Brevets from the elite Kopassus troops. On that occasion, Yudo also witnessed the training activities of Kopassus. According to him, direct observation of the Kopassus training activities will be used as a basis for future policy making as TNI Commander, especially in handling conflict areas. “With what has been shown, their professionalism in carrying out tasks will later become my provision for carrying out future tasks in deploying forces, in deploying future operations.
